GREENWICH, CT estate find!  As shown, gorgeou smetal framed artwork / print by

MEL DOBSON, titled NORTHWOOD GIANTS, depicting MOOSE ina snow-covered setting. HAND SIGNED, TITLED, and LIMITED EDITION NUMBERED by artist in lower left hand corner. In frame, measures approx  22" tall x 24" long. From the MEL DOBSON, Wildlife Artist bio on Nature Artists website:

"Sadly Mel passed away on July 16, 2016 at the age of 81.

As a member of the Society of Animal Artists and the Artists For Conservation Foundation, Mel primarily painted wildlife subjects in their natural environment. Mel worked in Scratchboard, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic and Gouache. Some of his work has been reproduced as limited edition prints.

Raised on a ranch in Utah, he worked for the Washington State Department of Game for eighteen years prior to beginning a full time art career in the early 1970's. In 1977 he moved to Jackson hole, Wyoming to paint and show his work in Trailside Galleries. Mel has traveled throughout the western United States, Canada, Africa, and Europe, studying and researching wildlife. In 1984 he started Wolfwalker Galleries in Sedona, Arizona and lived there for twenty years. He and his wife Sunnie made their home in Montana where Mel could be found in his studio overlooking Flathead Lake, near Polson, Montana."
